Good Skin Care Starts From Within

People with the most beautiful skin usually take good care of themselves. Have you ever seen a 40 year old smoker at the bar who looks amazing? Yea, I didn't think so. If you ever do, take a picture and check their ID.  :-)

There are conditions like acne that can't be helped by eating granola, but it's a proven fact that good health goes along with good looks. Compare a slim fit individual side by side with an overweight pizza loving couch potato and there's no comparison.

There's one subject that's usually reserved for Geritol hour, but I'm going to risk it anyway and bring it up here. It's my belief that your internal filter system is one of the foundations of good health and taking care of the liver, kidneys, intestines, etc. will not only add quality years to your life, but will also help improve your skin and overall looks.

Bowel Cleanse Basics

Undergoing a bowel cleanse is more than just drinking lots of water, or taking a laxative when needed. If you really want to make sure that your intestines are clean, these simple steps and supplements will put you in the right track when it comes to taking charge of your health.

First of all, it may be best to approach your bowel cleanse as a continual process, rather than a one-time event. This way, you will be more inclined to stay healthy on a regular basis, rather than scheduling a time every few months for a detox program that you may not follow through with. Keep in mind that colonics definitely help to get you on the path to being healthy, but making better choices will give you a more continual or extended bowel cleanse that will end up doing the most good.

Drink Lots Of Fluid

You can start by making sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids every day. Try to drink at least three or four tall glasses of water every day. Natural juices such as carrot juice and apple juice are also great for detox, since they help make your blood healthier and allow the body to eliminate waste quicker.

If you choose to do an extensive colon cleanse at this time, you could go with an enema, or you can go to a natural clinic for a colonics session. Your doctor will most likely allow you to see the amount of toxins that your body is releasing and while this is not pleasant, it is definitely motivation to keep you from filling up on unhealthy junk food.

Intestinal cleanses are recommended about twice a year for people who seem pretty healthy, but if you smoke, have been on certain medications such as pain killers or birth control for a long time, or are constantly feeling tired you may want to go through a bowel cleanse four or more times a year.

After your cleansing sessions, there are some supplements that you'll want to take to help maintain the effects. For instance, Cascara Sagrada, a root that has been known to aid in digestion and promote intestinal health, should be taken once a day. Slippery Elm is also recommended, and should be taken with meals as recommended.

If you want to eliminate mucus ginger supplements work well, or drink ginger tea a few times a week to prevent inflammation in the nasal cavities. Also, adding a little thyme and parsley to your food will also help extend the good effects of your bowel cleanse.

Anti Aging Skin Care Products

You know, sometimes thinking of anti aging skin care products reminds me of the song '18 till I die'.  Looking better is popular today; and why not, who doesn't want to look younger?

Talking about anti aging skin care products, the first thing that comes to mind is vitamin C based products.  Those types of creams and pills work by enabling the synthesis of collagen, (a structural protein found in skin) which is saturated with anti-oxidants.

Anti aging skin care products that are based on vitamin C are however, in danger of getting oxidised themselves (as they come into contact with air during usage). So to counter that, alternatives are based on derivatives of vitamin C, which is more stable and less expensive. However, the effectiveness of that type of product is not as effective as organic products.

Nutrients Not Restricted To Vitamins

Besides vitamin C, vitamin E, and lipoic acid are also effective anti-oxidants that work well when combined. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble anti-oxidant naturally found in your blood stream, which helps build resistance against infection. Vitamin E is also known to inhibit cancer and combat the signs of aging very effectively by reversing skin damage caused by the aging process.

Phytochemicals

Phytochemicals are the natural plant extracts that form the third category of anti aging skin care products. There is a wide variety of consumable phytochemicals in use today which help prevent occurrence of cancer of types like prostate cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer. Other vitamins like the B-vitamin grouping, B5, B6 and B12 are also used in anti aging skin care products.

Do Your Own Research

The field of anti aging skin care products is vast and has lots of room for research. Though many of the currently available products are effective, they still have challenges. Hopefully, these challenges will be resolved in due course and open the way for more effective products.

In the meantime, all anti aging skin care products should be used sparingly, only as a supplement to any natural ways of skin and body care.

So to sum it up, drinking lots of water, getting a good night sleep, exercising regularly, maintaining healthy eating habits and keeping stress at bay are essential means of delaying the aging process. No anti aging skin care product can replace that side of personal maintenance.

Finding The Right Antiaging Wrinkle Cream

Want to know how to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles that come with aging? Or better yet, would you like to know how to stop wrinkles before they start? Finding antiaging wrinkle cream is easier than ever before, since there are so many varieties, but you'll have to know where to look in order to find the anti aging skin care product for you. Here are some tips to make your antiaging product shopping a little easier.

Know Your Skin Type

If your skin is oily, you'll definitely want to purchase an antiaging product that is free of oil, so that you won't have to worry about impurities being trapped in your face all day. While oily or moisturized skin has been known to have less wrinkles, you also don't want to over-moisturize your skin, since this can cause blemishes.

If your skin is dry, an antiaging wrinkle cream with olive oil is probably best for you, since olive oil is light and gentle, and will give you the moisture you need to fight off fine lines and regulate oil production on the face. Vitamin C is also an important part of antiaging, so an antiaging wrinkle cream with vitamin C will most likely help your skin to be more vibrant and firm. MSM Lotion for Anti-aging and Skin Care is one of the products that is ideal for all skin types since it helps to renew the skin and provides a natural astringent in order to balance sebum production on the skin.

Use Sun Screens

Antiaging wrinkle cream should also protect your skin from the harsh effects of the environment. Sun and wind can sometimes be harsh on the skin, so the best anti aging cream for any skin type will have a high SPF (sun protection factor). Usually, the number should be about 20, but may need to be higher depending on any existing skin conditions you have. The best antiaging product you can use for your face is one with natural ingredients and a high SPF, so that your skin will be protected even if you tend to have sensitive skin. Ecco Bella Age Antidote is a great antiaging wrinkle cream, since all the ingredients are organic and gentle on the skin.

If you want to find an antiaging product that won't irritate your skin, try asking a skin care specialist about vitamin supplements that will help clear your skin from the inside out. A better lifestyle is always a good choice for beauty and overall health. Your dermatologist will also be able to give you suggestions or samples of non-irritant anti aging skin care products for your skin type.
